Welp Blackman won the second game of the DH last night and sits at 13-2. Needs to win one vs. Riverdale next week for the 7AAA title.

Riverdale lost to Oakland tonight so they are officially toast (district regular season championship speaking). 7AAA is going to crown a new district regular season sheriff next week (other than Siegel or Riverdale) for the first time since 2009 when Blackman earned a trip to the fling. I remember watching that '09 Blaze team battling toe to toe with eventual state champ Farragut in the State Tourney. Blackman (12-2) needs 2 more wins to claim the reg. season title. Otherwise pin the 7AAA star on Coach Bartlett's Redhawks (14-4 in the clubhouse). This will be the most competitive district tournament in a long time fer-shur. Siegel was eliminated last week when SC swept them. SC and Siegel both have only one series left (SC is done with district play after today's DH unless there are rainouts). Blackman is in the drivers seat.

How 'bout a match during one of the state tourney breaks between Coach Bray and Coach Roberts, winner gets Tuesday night? That would be worth 10 bucks by itself.

I also understand that is the way it would work. Could see TN vs. Bradley or Wilson Central vs. Bradley in the first round.

Cleveland and WV were 1/2 in one of the districts (D7?)BC and SD were 1/2 in the other district (D8?) D7 1st vs D8 2nd (and vice versa).

Major outcome from tonight is that Cleveland is in the drivers seat for the R4 duals #1 seed and BC-SD will have to survive to get to state.

This is incorrect. A team has to be a region champ to be seeded based on last year's state duals result.
