  1. Vick's problem isn't his arm, it's his height. Is he really even six foot tall? He can't see over those giants to make good passes. I don't know of any way that can be fixed. I guess as long as he can sprint out (to where he can see) he could make passes then.
  2. I saw the Riverdale / Smyrna game during the holiday break, which Smyrna won. I was shocked that Riverdale didn't have any big girls. I don't think any were even 6', but they had a lot of hustle and evidently their press defense is usually their bread and butter. How does the rest of the district teams do for size at the post position? Also who has the most talented post players in 7 AAA regardless of height?
  3. Very good game for the Lady Rockets. Hopefully we can make it a better game at home. Were you wearing a blue jacket and sitting near the middle lower part on Forrest's side?
  4. A lot of times pro bowl selections have a lag effect from the previous season(s), especially for small market teams like the Titans. With a strong finish this year, we should a least get some of our guys noticed for next year.
  5. That's probably about right. I think MTCS has a good team this year too. Some teams are still going to get better, so the tournaments will sort everything out.
  6. Nice assessment. I think Hester will probably get it.
  7. I think you're right considering things at this point in the season. Summertown is a strong team and they also play in a strong district, with a tough schedule. A lot of people get on here and jawbone about their teams and how they're going to the state championship, it's really hillarious. If those players get on here and read this stuff, it puts a lot of pressure on them every game. Watching the state tournament last year was very interesting. I don't thing a lot of people respected Forrest and they came in and won some very tight games. Madison Magnet out of Jackson is a very well coached team (they drove me nuts with all of the subs they made, but it was effective). I think this years state tourney will be well worth the cost of admission, because there are some really good "A" teams out there and I think the smaller schools have a better fan following too.
  8. Congrats to the Lady Patriots on their second win. PM, I know you have been frustrated. Maybe they can start winning these close games. Good luck Lady Patriots.
  9. Alright, let's here some details from tonight's game. Congrats to RBS on the win, from the score, must have been exciting.
  10. I would love to see Vince do one of those cell phone comercials like Peyton Manning did with the fake mustache. lol That guy's pretty good!
  11. Well, RBS won by eight. I guess Westmoreland deserves some credit for keeping this one close @ RBS. Does anybody have any details? Swanson?
  12. Westmoreland has a good team, but I don't think they can take RBS, if the Lady Bulldogs play well. RBS by 15+
  13. Vanburen Eagle, I don't want to judge anybody until I see them play either. I thought VB had a good team last year, they seems to fall apart at the district tourney, compared to their midseason play. I'm sure they will give plenty of fight this year too. Kazzy, go get your wife some season tickets for Christmas to the MTCS games. It's going to be a good year for that team and a lot of 9A teams. So as a fan, lets all enjoy this season. AuntKim, I know the Lady Rockets are a great team, I look forward to our games with them. Go Eagleville Lady Eagles!!!
  14. MTCS is not deep, but I definitely would not say they are thin either. I saw eight or nine girls playing and getting plenty of time too. A really good press may give them problems. If you can rush their game you may expose some weakness. They were impressive tonight.
  15. Sorry if I came across too defensive. (foul on Dossman). Middle Tennessee Christian School took Eagleville out behind the wood shed tonight. Near the end of the game I noticed no less than Cris Brown (Mr. Hooptown) sitting on their bench, doing the coaching behind their head coach. He definitely had MTCS playing some good ball and they have some very good size. It will be between them and Forrest for the district from what I have seen out of teams in 9A so far. Forrest and MTCS will have a battle royale down low. Good luck to all and everybody stay healthy.
  16. Yeah, the rest of 9A is just going to let you win all the games. You're not even ranked in the top ten anymore. Last month, you were talking about back-to-back state championships.
  17. It's not a matter of whether the Titans are going to fire Fisher or not. They would be idiots to let Fisher go. But, Fisher's contract ends this year and the Titans acan opt for one more year, then he will be available. Unless the Titans offer maaaaaaaaajor cabbage, Fisher will test the "free agent" waters. What's a coach like Fisher worth to a team like Indy, Atlanta, Washington or Seattle? He outcoached Dungy Sunday and really made him look bad with that move before the field goal at the end. OBTW, thanks for the time-out Tony, it really helped. Fisher has a opportunity to rake in the major bucks, and he's not dumb.
  18. Since it's at Gordonsville, I think they may be able to keep it close. RBS 48 - 44.
  19. What was the score of Forrest vs Boyd Christian?
  20. That was the funniest misspelling that I have seen on here in a while.
  21. Great game Lady Eagles!!!! Very good defense, caused a lot of turnovers. Good team effort!! Great start for the district. TCB tomorrow night with Columbia Academy too. Unionville started a lot of young players, they will only get better as the year goes on.
  22. It gets tried about every ten years. A team brings in a track star and it gets a lot of publicity and nothing ever happens. Does anybody remember Renaldo "Skeets" Nehemiah? I think that was his name. He had a tremendous vertical leap, very fast, but never did anything in the NFL. Willie Gault was the closest thing to a track star making it in football.
  23. What? You don't think Gatlin will go across the middle? One good hit and he will be looking out of his ear hole on his helmet.
  24. They have a lot of talent and don't make many mistakes. If their big girl improves and can dominate down low, then they can go very far. A well coached team with a lot of girls that hustle to the ball.
  25. I agree. I think whatever punishment the team gives him is their business. However, if I was the head coach, I would have a sick feeling in my stomach, leaving that airport without my starting QB.
