  1. hoopluv, I know who you are and I was wondering if I could get your e-mail address so I can IM you.
  2. It won't be that high scoring of a game...I think Giles Co wins at home, 61-56
  3. I agree with your opinion on Selmer sls, although South Side didn't win very classy either as they showed the trophy to Bolivar's fans first. During this time, I did see one thing classy. The freshmen from South Side, Wayne Chism, didn't go get the trophy, instead he went and shook all of Bolivar's players and coaches hands. That is good sportsmanship. If anyone, it should have been the older players, but good game Wayne, your great! Good luck to both South Side and Bolivar.
  4. What a game!!! This was the way a championship is supposed to be played. Back and forth the whole game. Gym was packed! It seemed like a college-like game atmosphere. On Hilliard Baker's 18th birthday, the Hawks brought it home. Bolivar came out popping the 3 as South Side hit the close jumpers. At halftime, it was Bolivar 29 SS 26. Freshmen Wayne Chism came in for the Hawks and played great. He took three charges on Willie Kemp in the 2nd half and knocked down a 15 foot jumper with under a minute to play to put SS up 3. Bolivar responded and then got the ball back but the freshmen Kemp tried to take it in hard and Chism took a charge. With 5.4 seconds left, South Side had the ball. Got it to Baker and as he was dribbling down the sideline Selmer committed a stupid blocking foul. Baker knocked down both free throws and Bolivar missed a 3 at the buzzer to win it all. Bolivar hasn't been playing well lately and South Side has. This creates a Top 5 showdown between Giles Co. and Bolivar. South Side will play host now and will probably win. They are definetley a good sleeper team going in to substate and state. What is Giles Co. gym capacity?
  5. Thank you al10, I believe Kyle was trying to be smart but it backfired. Nothing against him, played a tremendous game. SLS, how will Milan be next year and who else will be good?
  6. Richard Hendrix is awesome!!!
  7. I first off would like to congratulate both teams on a good game. Kyle Shannon played awesome but had some critical turnovers down the stretch. As for the intentional foul, it was right. Milan player grabbed Kemp's arms and threw him down, not going for a "steal" at all. As for the timeout, it looked as if Shannon called it on his own, but Milan had this game and choked. Still, Milan, great game and season and good luck next season. Bolivar is going to have to play better if they want to contend for a state championship, which they are talented enough to do. Should be a good regional championship game between Bolivar and South Side. Winner will probably go to state, loser will have to go through an awesome Giles Co. team.
  8. THIS IS NO JOKE!!! Coach Lott from McNairy had a genius game plan to try and defeat a much more talented team than his. Congrats to CC but I believe the credit goes to Coach Lott and his girls for being so focused and executing the game plan. McNairy had a 3 at the end of regulation to win it all. Final Score-OT Chester Co. 7 McNairy 4
  9. Willie Kemp is the best freshmen in the state...everyone will see at the state tournament.
  10. I can't disagree...Bolivar is loaded with talent and they have a good coach in Rudeusill. They play as a team and I would be shocked if they weren't playing March 22 for the 'ship.
  11. Lexingotn's Smith didn't have all of his points while Cagle was on the bench, he just really stepped it up. Oh yeah, and he held Cagle to 4 points the whole game...not bad for a guy 5 inches shorter.
  12. There are definetley good, smart players from the defending class AA state champions Lexington Tigers
  13. Who are the favorites in this regional tournament?
  14. sls, do you have a son on the team? Are you just a fan? Just wondering...good luck to yall in the regioanls!
  15. I think his name is Jay Watkins in the class of 2006
  16. How has he been doing? Is he playing any varisty? Numbers?
  17. Lexington 60 McNairy 46 Jackson Southside 55 Westview 52
  18. CoachT, I'm not sure what the scores were, but these are not right....they may have them on thejacksonsun.com
  19. If they wouldn't have done the voting before they played each other in the regional finals, Byars would have gotten it because he played much better than Allen and Ridgeway won, but they vote too early. I believe they should wait till state tournament to vote, because Ridgeway went on to dominate thet state tournament and Byars was named MVP.
