  1. Congratulations Coach! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  2. Good luck this Fri. nite & Go Tomcats!
  3. Glad to see that Hendrix is doing well. I remember him from J.T. Moore days & the Burro freshman team in 2005. He always had a strong leg; has really improved his accuracy since he was a freshman. Best of luck in 2008! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  4. Good looking website. Looks like the team has good numbers out. Best of Luck!!
  5. Good job Ned! Hope all is going well with you. Good Luck to the Bulldogs in 2008!
  6. I was at the Lancaster Christian/Zion scrimmage last Fri. nite. Zion Chr. is not the same Zion that I saw 2 years ago. I do not think they yet have the talent & depth to challenge for one of the top 4 spots in the region; however they are much improved. Their QB has a great arm & they spread the field out with 5 wides. They run precise routes & he gets rid of the ball quickly. One of the rec's is about 6'-5" and is tough to cover. This program has come a long way since 2006...if they can avoid the injury bug they could turn a few heads in Region 6A.
  7. It was a tough 2007 season..I certaninly hope the Vikings will improve. You have a fine hard working booster organization & looks like the #'s of players are back up. Good luck in 2008!
  8. The Burros scrimmage @ Ensworth on the 8th & host BA on the 14th.
  9. The one I want to see in the next couple of years is Hillsboro vs. Riverdale.
  10. Coach: You're exactly right. This offense is somewhat similar to the old Lonesome Polecat that Tiger Ellison ran back in the 50's, only they use the loophole in the kicking formation rule to their advantage. If they close that loophole, that's the end of that. No loophole, no A-11. According to that website regarding this offense, there is a laundry list of things to do in order to run this...stuff like sending a letter to your state HS sports body (TSSAA for us), meeting & explaining the offense to officials etc. I got a kick out of how this one school & their staff (who only ran this for the first time last year & won 7 games..) are putting on clinics for everyone else...make that $$ & strike while the iron is hot! I would be more interested in how much long term success they have with this system. Good Luck to you this year!
  11. Don't you especially love those principal's that come straight over from Elem. school to HS? Those "fun-run/school carnivals" are valuable experience in helping administer HS athletics.... /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  12. It sure would! So many of the HHS & DL kids know each other, hang out together etc. Not a lot of gas and expenses for travel either! I know the Burros are excited about hosting MBA this year. Hopefully the trend of the Nashville area public/privates playing each other will continue.
  13. Good Website Viking Fan! Have y'all made any more facility improvements since last year? Good luck in 2008!
  14. Sure do. There was some great battles between Isaac Litton & old East HS.
  15. The Tennessee High Adamites? I guess your school is located close to a zinc mine? Just wondering..
  16. Does PC have some good numbers out this year? Good luck in 2008!
  17. Good! Tough opponents make you better. I hate to lose in anything, but you must keep in mind it's a scrimmage & you're working out the kinks on Off. & Def. & seeing who of the young players can contribute. Do the Vikings have a lot of players out this spring?
  18. Riverside Christian dropped out do to soccer; did PC not pick up another team to scrimmage? If not, I assume they will try to scrimmage someone else during spring practice?
  19. Game time is 7 PM. Concessions will be going strong & it'll be a great night for HS football; if you're in the Mid-Tenn. area and need a HS football fix, come on out to the Smyrna Middle School stadium and catch the game. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  20. Did Riverside Christian pull out of the scrimmage?
  21. It also happened at Hillwood I believe the year before last. Knowing how well Metro Schools "maintains" their facilities /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> it doesn't surprise me at all. It is surprising to see a well supported program such as Tullahoma letting their bleachers fall into disrepair.
  22. Coach: Thanks for the heads up! I know that many times when a new school is opened older kids/upperclassmen are given an option as to continue at their same school or transfer; I was not sure how that would play out if the kid plays a sport. This must be devastating to the Stratford staff; that is a huge # of kids to replace. Hopefully they'll get more kids from Stratford out for football. Best of luck to East Lit & Stratford in this upcoming season!
