You will really have a reason to stand tall and be proud!!!

There is no way USJ should be forced to play schools like Milan, Huntingdon, Westview and Humboldt. As much as I wish they could compete, USJ is going to have a long season next year. Skyhawk
Last time I checked a public school's enrollment, included special education students, and the wonderful "no child left behind" program, the difference is that a public school gets the hand that it is dealt, whomever lives in that zone. USJ needs to get over the whining, it is supposed to be an academic institution, not everybody can get in, thus the multiplier makes sense. The thing is, that what you have been whining about, is not winning or losing, but having to compete every time you go on the court or field, instead of running over other teams from schools in A, which have less athletes. Good Luck next season, you have great coaches, and now they will get tested every week, is that not what makes a coach.

jusdontno
I think the private schools have a definite advantage over the public A schools because they do not have to stay within a zone, and people don't try to figure out ways to go to these small schools to play. I do not necessarily think the multiplier rule is the answer. In some cases they will be at a disadvantage because of this. The big point I don't see discussed much is why does a multiplier apply to a private school and not a magnet school or a "special school dustrict". They have the same advantages over schools with the same enrollment. And why does Milan football go 11-0 in AA and Gibson Co football go 0-11. In Jackson, look at the decline of NS, SS and JCM in many sports because of the rush to magnet schools dwindling their numbers of baseball soccer etc players. I guess the answer is to play whoever they tell you to play to the best of your ability.
