STATE CHAMPS!

There was silence about the field as the two teams first met eachother on the open-field. McCallie was looking to win #2, while MUS was craving for that state championship trophy to come back to there school (after all, it had been missing for the past 2 years). MUS got off to a fast start with a 1-0 lead, but that did not bog McCallie man Chase Haayyyeess with a 1-2-3 score to give the Blue the tie. However, MUS rebounded with 2 more goals of there own, and soon after lightning struck across the sky, scorching the minds of MUS parents. The game was delayed and the worried mccallie fanbase huddled within the SAC forum. A frustrated McCallie team was gettin a prep talk from T Kemp, and we were able to get an interview with Coach Brooks before the game started up again, "We're just not capitalizing out there, I know for a fact we can do better than this, we've proved ourselves on and off the field throughout the season, and mark my words, we will take this trophy home."

An eager McCallie team reentered the field with a new motivation to crush the Owls, David Hughes claimed, "Those Owls won't be flying when we get back out onto the field, we're gonna tear their wings off limb by limb." And it was so... After David threw a bounce-left post behind the back winger shot to bring it to 3-2. And shortly after that McCallie put up 2 more unanswered goals to give them a 3 goal streak and put them up 4-3. A worried MUS fanbase soon collapsed, and attempted to rebound with the M!!-U!!!-S!! cheer, and thats just what the MUS players needed as they stormed down the field and scored another on the rusty McCallie defense as they did not have the ball on their side nearly the whole half. The game remained scoreless and went into overtime 4-4.

The crowd was anxious and nervous as the two teams stepped back onto the field, awaiting the outcome of the sudden death. It did not go as long as one may think though as McCallie midfielder Alex Gregor diminished the MUS player and drove on down the field with a quick 1-2 pincher face to get him the ball and he marched down the field through 2 defenders and launched a ferocious shot travelling at velocities uknown to man. The crowd was silent, and it seemed as if the play on the field was in slow motion, the ball hit the MUS goalie and then slowly rolled on the ground into the net. And thus, the McCallie Blue Tornado Lacrosse team became back to back, 3 for 4 in the past 4 years (much like the patriots) and the crowd stormed the field in celebration as the coaches held up Alex Gregor with much honor.

You forgot about how Gibson hit the top right pipe with about 4 seconds left which would have won the game.
