Where would Cedric have gone??? If you are referring to the same Cedric that wore #79 in last year's state title game then my guess is that Huntingdon needs his services badly on both sides of the line thumb

I heard Cedric had quit the team and was transferring to Bruceton cause he wanted to play wide reciever... :P He found out it's just not the same and he didn't want to quit his teammates so he decided to come back and play tackle for the Big Blue....

Now that would be fun to watch; watching opposing DB's trying to tackle Big CED in the open field. :D

Hey maybe Mansfield could use him like the Bears used Refrigerator Perry back in the 80's on the goal line offense. He oughta be able to make a hole for somebody to run through. :)

Maybe that wouldn't be such a bad idea. He's big but agile. I was at the fieldhouse Thursday night and watched him skipping rope. Pretty impressive. I agree with using him on short yardage situations; give him the ball in the deep I formation and let him dive over the line, ala Travis Henry! :P

Just five days to practice guys..........

or has the TSSAA chaged the date?

Reignydayz... I think you're right on the official date but things seem to be shakin now. When I see you and Neal I'll fill you in. I saw Chris and Boo at the Babe Ruth Tournament the other night and about 5 former Mustangs were standing around grazing and talking about "you know what". (Mustang football) We were amazed how Boo and Chris have both grown over the summer. What is Chris weighing and how tall is he? I'd say 6'3" and 225 lbs. Is that about right?

The Wing-T will be hard to defend again this year. With Boo on one wing and "Stormy" on the other wing and Chris in the deep-I that will create lots of schemes. Teams better not try to put 8 men in the box cause Crocker can hum it to Boo, Stormy,Baker, or J.P.

The "Pigskin Pals" now have their official game face on....

Ya'll get ready. Reignydayz is startin' to get all excited again at work. Evry day, he's comin' up to me with stuff printed off coacht to read. He's been dormant for about 8 months now and he's comin' out of hibernation just in time for----ya'll guessed it-----FOOTBALL SEASON!!!

I figure in another week or so he'll prolly start to drool a little when he gets to talkin' football!!!!! thumb

Good luck this season ya'll (except for Sept. 23 of course). Ya'll could make it "3 in a row in the show"!

    • Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
    • “No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team.” For language? I’m not seeing that as a dealbreaker.
    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
