Toughest Course

Harpeth Hills is by far the most difficult course. Not only are the sand traps nasty, but there are regular occurences of random individuals who think it is funny (in a sick sort of way) to yell at the golfers.

There's a classic clubhouse legend at Harpeth Hills about an old white van full of very vocal individuals that would drive by #14 on most weekdays around 3 o'clock and yell at any golfer in the vicinity of the apex of his swing. I would say any tee times made after lunch should receive a course rating/slope multiplyer for this extra challenge.

Both of these courses are private & very difficult to shoot a low score on.

I personally think River Watch in dekalb county is one of the nicest and toughest courses in middle tennessee by far. the year they had high school districts there noone shot under par on the front nine as a matter of fact noone shot better than 37 on the front nine that course is a beast

Riverwatch by far one of the two home courses for DeKalb Co. Elevation changes make it impossible to walk this course. The greens are slick and anything too far off the fairway will probably be out of bounds or unplayable. It's very nice though, brand new. By far one of the toughest and nicest courses in Middle Tennessee.
