There are a couple of high school fall leagues in the Knoxville area. The most well known if the league that Charlie Byrd runs at Lakeshore Park. He has divisions for both varsity and JV teams.

 

The TSSAA won't allow official fall baseball. The high school coaches can't be invovled. Generally the high schools put together a team of baseball players not playing fall sports and have a summer league coach or dad coach the fall team.

most players just play with their high school teams .. you don't really see travel teams during the fall .. you find those alot during summer.

There is some travel teams, but play is mostly in Florida, Texas and California. Not much around here. Ther are plenty of showcases however, Perfect Game and most universitys will have a showcase in the fall.

THERE IS A HIGH SCHOOL TOURNAMENT SEPTEMBER 10-11 AT RIDLEY/HELTON FIELD ( FORMERLY BILL MEYER STADIUM) IN KNOXVILLE. IF YOU WANT TO ENTER YOU CAN CALL JEFF BUNCH AT THE PARKS DEPARTMENT. HIS NUMBER IS 215-1407. I THINK THE ENTRY FEE IS $250 WITH A 3 GAME GURANTEE.

I disagree with you, and I am not sure where you are getting your information from. MAYBE some disgruntled parents, OK........ (everybody thinks their kid is the next Todd Helton or Bubba Trammell), but I assure you that he was NEVER pressured to resign or threatened to be fired from the powers that be.

 

Solely up to the coach to step down on this one.
