5 teams from region 7 in the top 15 is impressive. I'd put Camden in the top 5 though. Unless they have an off week, I predict they will be in action on Thanksgiving weekend.

 

Outside of Alcoa, 2A is the one division where west of the river is dominant over the rest of the state.

Don't count out Marion County. They definitely should be top 15 this year. As I have said before, they will beat at least one of the BEASTS (Tyner, Boyd) in Region 3 this year.  thumb

No offence but Marion will do good to get past Sequatchie..........

Marion will have a good team, but the region, though small, is very tough.

We'll see. I know that given our performance over the last few years, you have a hard time believing that we can be good, but don't be too quick to judge. This year is different. Marion will be back.

 

I may be totally wrong and at the end of the season if that is the case I'll come on here and admit that I'm an idiot. However, I will say again that Marion will beat either Tyner or Boyd this year. The beauty is that we'll know before the end of September because we play both early.

Not trying to take anything away from Marion, but I think Sequatchie will finish third and Marion fourth and Sequatchie might even be 2nd.........Bledsoe might beat one of those teams.......You just never know what can happen on any given night.......

...Pretty good rankings prior to the scrimmages, however I would give Smith County a little higher slot due the fact that they came from 3A to 2A...playing bigger teams(in size and number) gives you an advantage(IMHO)

Those aren't Murphy Fair's picks. Those are the coaches picks for 2005. I'm looking at Murphy's site and looking at the preseason class 2A top5. It reads the following:
