Alcoa vs. Oak Ridge

It was confirmed at tonight's Oak Ridge practice, that the Wildcats will play Alcoa next Tuesday in scrimmage action.

 

It is tenatively set for 5 p.m. Tuesday at Ben Martin.

That will be a great scrimmage. Alcoa needs a good program to go up against

This has been confirmed at Alcoa also. Alcoa will be looking to see how they measure up against Oak Ridge, to see how much improvement will be needed before they are absolutely ready to head up to Trigg County, and face Maryville, Fulton, etc....

I will be making that 2 1/2 hr drive to Oak Ridge to watch this one. I've always wanted to scrimmage OR and now here's our chance!! It should be a great scrimmage and lots of hard hittin!!!

Well now according to that Tank guy on T.V. Alcoa wont have much of a chance with that outstanding defense of Oak Ridge. I predict an Alcoa W but I really hope OR pulls it out, though its just a scrimmage. But you all know that Tank guy really knows his football being on T.V. and everything...

Now we know people who are on that little ol TV show don't know much about sports. Haven't you appeared a few times?

 

And if I ever said an outstanding team like Alcoa never had a chance ... you should throw me off. They have an awful special group of athletes over there right now and with Oak Ridge not winning the passing league, the Tornados are probably favored to win by at least 8 touchdowns.

unless someone has a successful background playing or coaching sports I really don't give many local sportscasters much credibility. That being said, I know nothing of what you're talking about in regards to "tank" or whoever that is. In other words, my opinion is most of the local sportscasters are just glorified fans.

If you can make a living at it, I can't imagine a better job than writing and talking about sports. In particular, high school football. Tank and his associates at The Oak Ridger and High School Confidential are helping enhance the excitement surrounding Oak Ridge football. I especially like the "where are they now" stories. Great job!

I will never be a rich man, but I thank God every night that I have spent the last 15 years covering athletes in east Tennessee. I appreciate the kind words ... really glad I sic'ed Tatia on those whatever happened to stories.

Why that Tank and Goose are so smart it makes wonder how they got all that knowledge. And just because that Tank thinks Alcoa not is not very good is his buisness. I still support you Tank and what more could you ask for? p9morbid I cant believe you dont think Tank is very smart...
