Oakland features several good=looking sophs:

Adam Elrod who started the latter part on the season on varsity as a freshman lineman. This kid has the tenacity to get the job done.

Lavergas Jordan.....also a lineman. He either has the highest squat on the team or is tied with Bass for it.

Michael Mc Gowan.....LB...has def stepped up and made some Sr style tackles.

All 3 are starters and have made an impact with their skill, strength, and leadership on the field.

Rockwood may have the largest group of talented sophomores in the state right now. Bryant Allen had 150 tackles last yr as a freshman playing varsity ball and didnt even start until about the fourth or fifth game. This year he is dominating the defensive side of the field and is also the starting fullback. At 5'10 225 he is a load to bring down! Zach Breazeale (6'3 190) is the starting qb and passed for almost 200 yds in his first varsity start against a good Midway team. In fact it was his first high school game of his career after missing last yr with a shoulder injury. He also rushed for about 50 yds. Simon Moriarty (6'2 230) is another head hunter at linebacker and is the backup fullback. Teamed with Allen the tigers have a dynamic duo at the linebacker position as well as two punishing fullbacks. Brandon Green (5'9 210) starts at offensive guard and also gets lots of playing time as a backup linebacker. Curt Boston (6'4 245) starts at defensive end and is a backup guard on offense. Chase Clem, Preston Harvest, and several others are second team at their respective postions as well as playing specialty teams and will be starters next yr.

Daniel White he is sharing the starting duty with Craig Freeman at Overton. Started one game last year ran for 138 yard 2 TD and this is in the first round of the playoffs. Wacth out for this guy. And word around school is he has got way stonger over the summer. This guy WILL be running over people.

    • Sounds like y'all got a lot of bodies to choose from. We lost 2 really good seniors and have 4 from Junior High that has moved up. That will give us 12 starting summer camps. As you know we all have to stay healthy. Proud Alexander and Micah are going to play together at Bethel. They were really fun to watch at the All Star game in Murfreesboro. They have real good chemistry together on the floor.
    • Baxter will do what they most always do.....at a minimum produce at least 9 Ws and run into at least the 2nd round.....Booger actually enjoyed seein them in the Gold Ball contest last season.... Booger just sayin
