You can take JP but I will take Morgan Hix before JP. And you can also have Ward to but only in his junior year he slacked off his senior year a little bit.

Actually guys...the best teams in SC history were about the 1957-1960 era. They were one of the best teams in the state. There were no classes then. Notice who their opponents were. Also...the Tobacco Bowl was one of the premier bowls in the state.

For their era...they were the best.

Why on Earth would you want Lee Forrest in your secondary? you must not have ever watched him play, he was not that good. How about a John Foster or Kyle Speck. I would not have used Richie Roberts either, more like a Dusty Brady as my number one. Well that is about it, I am kinda of iffy about Goolsby at tight end I was always told he was not that good. What do I know I am youngster and only play college football also.

Cory McDonald was a good CB when he was allowed to play there. What about Jesse Davis on the O-Line and Sid Enoch? If Maynord would have had Jesse's group his senior year we could have done some damage!

The whole 1985 Owl football team was very good. Anyone who saw the playoff games that year were just incredible. These playoff games were some of the most hard hitting, physical football games that I have ever been to . And I lived in Florida for 8 years so I have seen some of the very best football that this country has to offer. As far as Scott Dirkson being the best football player in Smith County history, lets just put it this way. Scott Dirkson was the only football player that could have even stepped on the field with high school teams from Pensacola Florida to Fort Walton Beach Florida. Some of the athletes from those high schools make Riverdale look like Red Boiling. Also everyone lets remember this is all for fun. These are my opinions and everyones should be respected.Everyone have a good day.

Inever said the best, just decent.I probably would take McDonald over Roberts and Goolsby was a very good tight end.Played then so I should know.
