Good game between two good teams. It's a shame someone had to go home with a loss. Expect both teams to make a run deep into the playoffs. Reigny, if you think that politics and last names don't run Huntingdon football, then you better come in out of the RAIN before you drown. Same here as in a lot of other places. The coaches know who butters their bread.

Great game by both teams, two classy prorams. Doesn't get much better unless they were handing out the gold ball at the end. Guy showed why he is the best back in West TN. I believe he out ran both your studs, and they are studs. You might want to come back to Martin and pick up all those cleats Guy juked your boys out of. Also, see if they can get you a copy of the Jackson Sun in your cell. You will like the FRONT page. Westview and Huntingdon are now 15-15 all time. How is that for your tradition? Pull your flute out and start playing your new tune, I believe it is the theme song from Sesame Street. Sunny Dayz. :thumb:

Great game Westview! You guys really played a great game. Much respect and good luck this season.

 

Guy played remarkable last night and is a shifty back. Congrat's Markei much respect comin from the ole Reignman.

 

 

Ok ..........Mustangs We've got that one over just like last year and things are back to normal. Let's Move on and make our run to "THE DERBY"

good job stangs, i played last night and i have never played a harder team then you all.

 

dont worry about the lose, we just got lucky and we just happebed to have a preety good place kicker, thats all.

 

we will see yall in the play-offs so dont get your heads down, you all are still one of the most dominate teams in tennessee.

 

and on another note, chris donald hits really hard!!!!!

These two programs have been at the top of West Tn football for the last several years and another chapter in that story was written last night.

 

Historical records show the two teams dead even for all time.

 

Food for thought: Huntingdon has never lost to Westview in the playoffs.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
