I don't know exactly how big he was but I think the kid that could really bring the wood for any size was Chris Machen from Kingsport DB, that little man could bring the serious pain. Also Jason Layman from Sevier Co, James Bates also Sevier Co, Micheal Frazier, Sevier Co, Eric Brackins from Gatlinburg-Pittman, and Spencer Riley from Jeff Co. just to name a few.

for all my fellow OR fans and Wildcat Brethren i got one person fo ya : #27 Adam Black (2000-2003). he wasnt real fast, strong, or big size wise but he had the biggest heart out of anybody on the field. wanna know how hard he hit, ask the receivers for the 2002-2003 William Blount team, Ask Jeff Jennings and Scooter Houston from Jeff County, ask Riverdale when he made big hits on Qb's and RB's even with a cast on his broken hand. basically he just knocked people into the next week when came time to strap it up.

For you Riverdale fans, if you can remember I think Kenny McGowan was Riverdale's hardest hitter from the 93' season. Put a boy in the hospital on a hit (on the kickoff) anyone remember that?

JASON WOFFORD FROM CHEATHAM COUNTY WAS THE HARDDEST HITTER I'VE EVER SEEN, JUST ASK JOHN HENDERSON. HE BLEW PEOPLE UP IN THE TN/KY ALLSTAR GAME AGAINST TIM COUCH.

They called him WOLFBOY, should have called him wreckin ball. He'd put your jock/helmet/back/gluteus in the dirt. Have not seen anybody like him in 10 years period. Come to think of it, not sure I'd ever seen anybody like him.

I remember Howard High School had 3 players down after one play against Sequatchie in 1992, 2 had been hit hard and one had some kind of leg injury. That's the only time I've ever seen that many down after one play, either on TV or in person.

The hardest that I've seen is current Denver Bronco LB and former JCM player, Al Wilson.

He could hit! I never checked him in pads but the guy was an absolute animal on the intramural basketball court, especially when he was getting beat. He didn't like that much. They had to call in the campus police on one occurence.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
