LEONARDSLOSERS-The Bearden Bulldogs travel to the Tri-Cities area to take on the always tough Indians of Kingsport Dobyns Bennett. The Bulldogs are coming off a loss to rival Knox West, while the Indians are bringing their 2-0 record into the game. This Region game should not be hard to pick, although some say the Bulldogs are much improved this year. Kingsport Dobyns Bennett by 16.

LEONARDSLOSERS-The CAK Warriors will leave its safe Haven in West Knoxville for the dangerous area of a Tornadoe. Many Tornadoes that is. The very athletic team from Alcoa will not be gracious host. The Warriors coming off a win against the Partriots from Union Co. Will have to hold on for dear life this week. Warriors say your prayers. Alcoa by 35.

LEONARDSLOSERS-The Cyclones of Elizabethton will host the Vikings of Tennessee High. While the once formitable Cylcones are 0-2 they will be ready for the 1-0 Vikings. The Cyclones lost a close one last week to Science Hill, a game that they should have won in regulation. (1st and goal, ball on 2, 52 seconds) Tennessee High came away last week with a 29-7 win over Virgina High at the Castle. This is not last years Viking team, but they are still strong. Great chance of repeating as region champions. Just don't think that the Cyclones can hang. Sorry Chassie and Taylor. The Vikings by 13.

LEONARDSLOSERS-The RoadRunners of Austin East will host the Irish from Knoxville Catholic

The fighting Irish of Knoxville Catholic take their pressed Oxford shirts with ties, and Straight seamed pants back into the city. Just down the road from the old stomping grounds of Knoxville Catholic lies the Road Runners of AE. The new faces of the Irish have never known the the old area of Magnolia Ave, so it will be an experience for many of them. Im not sure if they know what it is like to see or experience the feeling at Sam Anderson Field.

The Austin East RoadRunners are once again fast. Graham has done a better job than I expected getting his team prepared. Known for their strong running game in years past, they might have found a great running and throwing QB. With the transfer issue settled, and the big win against region and rival Fulton, the Roadrunners are looking to get a jumb on the region. A very quick and fast team, but can they handle the size and physical game of the Irish. The more balanced attack of the Roadrunners should keep the Irish on their toes. This is a different kind of game that the Irish are about to play. The environment, the speed, the attitide.

While Catholic is strong, physical, and faster than originally thought, they are also in midseason form. They are way ahead of the pack. Many problems that public schools have to deal with are not even an issue. Can the Irish adjust to the speed of the entire team enough to pull out the win?

Here is how it breaks down. The Irish are only allowing 9.5 points per game, and are scoring around 50 points per game, while the Roadrunners struggled to score against Red Bank. Austin East did put up some big numbers against the Falcons, but allowed them to score 33. The Roadrunners are allowing 18 points per game, and averaging 21. That is a 28.5 point difference on offense alone. The Defense is only allowing 9 points more than the Irish. The numbers always do it for me. The Irish in a big game by 13. Although it might take the Irish a few minutes to get acclamated, they will come out on top.

LEONARDSLOSERS -The Chargers of Westview will play host to the 2004 State Runnerup in class 2A. The tallent is still at Huntingdon, and having to replace only a few players will allow the Mustangs to return to the big dance. The 2-0 Chargers are averaging 29 points and only giving up around 9 points per outing. Although the Chargers are ready to take on the Mustangs with everything they will get outlasted in the end.
