DannyV
Again....just want to know what yall think about McNairy Central's drumline. For those that don't know, this is in West Tennessee. I give credit to Union City, they got Grand champion large division, but you gotta give credit to MC this past weekend (grand champs- small division). it should be a good comp. this weekend at milan. for the scores go to www.wallickmusic.com again, tell me what you think of us. basketballisbest
Year in and year out Ooltewah's band is ranked in the top 25 in the country at the Bands of America championships. Last year finished 17th in the country and second in their class.
rebelman16
I like Alcoa's band becuase they have so fiew people out their but still they play with pride and I think what makes a great band. Its not how big or lugtoriuos their uniforms are. It's the way they play even if they have less than 20 people.
SOS_11
McGavock has become a name band....no matter how good or how average their show is they will always be placed as number one every year at COC...and i completely disagree with that...we need some judges who won't fear for their jobs if they score someone higher than McGavock 825749925[/snapback] I'll agree with this statement. As being a member of a band who's competed with McGavock for the past few years, I've seen many good bands who should have won competitions such as COC but lost because of who McGavock is. I'm not saying that McGavock isn't a great band because they are, BUT judges should give credit where credit is due...not because you're a powerhouse in the marching band world. ambiguousrock
McGavock not only does well at CoC, but at ALL competitions they go to, including BoA's. BTW, Ooltewah's band had an AMAZING show last year.
BlueNation07
Well as a member, I've got to say McNairy Central. We are a very energetic and crowd-pleasing band but we've got the technique to back it up. We've got a great brass section and drumline. I've also gotta give McGavock props....great band. KHStenor
Awww come on only 1 vote for KHS's band? LOL its all good....I know we're not THAT great...but yes we do compete with some higher level bands and place decently. No, we're not a "Powerhouse band" but we get the job done. loweman#28
That is an easy one. It has got to be AE because no band around brings the excitement to the games than there band.

wcwildcatmom
Wilson Central's band is the best. They play constantly and also cheer . I always enjoy their half-time show too. Blackman High usually has a good band too. Edited September 20, 2005 by wcwildcatmom
