The top half looks just as strong. There are no easy games in D2.

Not so fast, mjuhb...in A/AA I think ND, Hume-Fogg and for sure Knox Catholic would like to play the game before the FRA v. CCS winner is handed the trophy.

 

Catholic has one of the best girl's soccer offenses I've seen at a small school. My ideal championship match would have CCS' almost unscored upon defense (only 4 goals allowed all season) against Catholic's offense that is averaging 5 goals per game and that has wins against Farragut (preseason), Bearden (2-2 draw + pks), McMinn Co. and is undefeated in their very strong division (Anderson Co., Oneida, Kingston, CAK, etc.). I'd give CCS the pre-game edge, but I bet it would be a game.

Why are Baylor and Father Ryan (assuming they both win thier regions) in the same bracket. They are first place and runner up from last year. Shouldn't they be separated so they meet in the in the finals? JP2 will blow through there bracket.

It's a draw. With three #1 seeds from the West/Middle/East Regions, two will have to be placed on the same side of the bracket. As for JP2 blowing through their side, ECS, St. Agnes, or Hutchison (whoever wins the West) will not allow any team to blow through them - - JP2 tied Hutchison 1-1 last month and beat St. Agnes 2-1, not blow outs by any standard.

 

Of course, this whole argument is premature at this point because JP2 could win the Middle Region and be in the bottom half.
