I would like to say good job to all the Temple players. Ya'll played your hearts out. It's tough going out there and playing like that with only the few players you have.

To all this fighting going on, maybe we should put the game behind us and focus on South Pitt. Everyone has made their points so now we can move on. Our time and effort could be better served.

Wow! I can't believe all this crap going on. I was at the game. This game was different from any other game. I am not here to talk about who made mistakes, whether it be coaches, captains, or James McCormick, the lonesome kicker. :D Everyone gave their all. At the end of the game my heart sank to the ground. I felt bad for those guys. To me, the Temple players deserved to win. Sure, there may have been mistakes, but WHO DOESN'T MAKE MISTAKES IN GAMES? People act like the players and coaches are suppose to be God! They are only humans with a sinful nature and are no better than each other. The coaching was great and the players were great. I was proud of my team even after they lost. IF you were there you would have realized that it was a great game.

the players were hurting after the game, emotionally and physically. And look at all of you now. You have turned on other temple fans because of opinions. Let it go. I am sure there are people out there who become bitter and come on here and express their opinion. Who cares? Do you think what OldTimeBaller or anyone else says is going to affect how Seth,Kevin,Joey,Josh,Justin, and all the others play? NO! I am sure people realize they made mistakes on Friday, but they are learning from it.

Maybe Kevin made mistakes.maybe seth made mistakes, maybe the coaches made mistakes, maybe joey skogen made mistakes, maybe J.P. made mistakes.....

We all know Jacob the waterboy made mistakes... but no one gets on to him on the internet...so i will...pick up the pace...you are slackin off...geeze! fill those bottles up faster...

so you think that sounds stupid...well that's how everyone sounds when they bicker about mistakes made by coaches and players and who's right and who's wrong....

Oh and I noticed LoveIt forgot to mention Kevin on the last page...Nothing personal...I have no clue who that is, but I thought I would mention my boy Kevin cause I know he tries hard...So good job Kevin!

I think everbody just needs to CALM DOWN.....we could all use a hug right now.

Personally i think it is embarassing, as a temple fan, for coach Skogen to get on the internet and have to defend himself like he did. Even though i chose not to play this year, my heart is still with the team. all you guys have accepted me and made me feel at home. I went through a lot of crap to be a part of this program. i left my friends and family, to be here with you guys. So do not forget somebody is watching somewhere.

Coach Skogen will continue to do the adult thing and be more mature than most people. HE IS THE COACH. To win, we have to listen to the coach. So to all the grumblers, shut your mouth. He is trying to tell you the same thing, i just put it bluntly.

I dont understand how we can have over 400 yards of offense and people criticize the calls. Maybe we should try supporting our team in a positive way. Just remember, Coach K at Duke said, "Negative energy is addictive." If to many people get negative, we WILL fail. He also said,"You hear, you forget. You say, remember. You do, you understand."

None of us can understand how tough Coach Skogens job is. So until you've done what he has done, and understand what he understands, just be quiet.

I think the basketball success has spoiled some of the fans who want an instant contender in football. They're a solid 1A team..nobody wants to lose ever, and most don't want "moral victories" but I think Temple is progressing very well.

This is more true than you know. The fact is even in basketball if Temple doesn't win the state many of the fans act like it was a bad year and the team wasn't very good. Spoiled is a nice way of putting it. Temple won it the last two years in BB and then got beat at State by the eventual state champions the next two years, and you would think they were 8-20 the way some people carried on.

Indian has great insight...pay attention to him.

OldTimeBaller: You are a WRONG and I'm sick and tired of you criticising Temple. I was at the game and I thot the calls were great! Sure they didn't execute some plays, but the calls were great. Lets support Temple and not run them down. You should learn to keep your negative opinions to yourself. Whitwell desrved to win. They were the better team, but give Temple the respect that they have earned. They suit up 17 players and play their hearts out. They should be commended for their effort. I praise their coaching staff for a job well done. Coach Skogen and Beard have down a tremendous job this year. Lets be POSITIVE with Temple and not NEGATIVE. GO CRUSADERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Stick to coaching basketball.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
