South Pittsburg Vs Watertown

South Pitt will be the only first-round winner from their region.

Don't underestimate Temple. When they're on they can play some good ball. I know everybody has Trousdale winning (and they should) but I think that game could be better than what many people might think. And Whitwell and LV could upset someone as well if they play well.

Watertown has a big line and a good back, SP's smallish line may have trouble with them. These are the playoffs though, look for the Pirates to come out gunning.

Watertown say's: "they can't stop the run"

What say you Pirates?

I think South Pittsburg wins this game fairly easy. They have too many weapons. Their team speed will be a huge factor as well.

If SP dont have a way better than average defence, Watertown will take them. Watertown will bring it up the middle. They have a big O line, and a fine running back. Juz my .02 B)

Watertown has improved greatly since senior TB Josh Vantrease returned to the lineup in week 5 or 6. He has rushed for nearly 600 yards, including a 230-plus effort and 3 TD's last week at Monterey. QB Patrick Strunk is tall and lanky, good arm and capable of making plays with his feet. Watertown's strength is a veteran offensive line. D-lineman Michael League is a good one.

Does anyone have accurate stats on South Pittsburg?

    • Well personally I see us going 9-1 so that isn't doom and gloom to me , Most people are thinking 6-4. Bearden will be the possible loss but hoping not. I was very impressed with what I saw this spring.
    • the kid you are speaking about, played in JV games,  2H half Science Hill game, split time in Hardin Valley and Bearden and that was it.   The upcoming Senior RB was All Region as a Junior and is regarded by the media as one of the top running backs in East TN for 2024 season. Scouting services have him as a top 10 back in the state.  Something aint adding up with gloom and doom. Maybe he was hurt and not at spring practice when you watched?
    • It won't be long now, he gone.
    • Are you kidding me?  You are just trolling now.  The new head coach's qualifications would be volunteer coach at the Oak Ridge Boys Club?  C'mon man, you can't be serious.  You're trolling us.  Anybody working at Clinton High School has to be like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs at this point.  They are coming after anybody and everybody that had knowledge of what was going on.  This is about to get real ugly.  Only in Clinton.
    • So no way they can compete with the likes of McCallie or Baylor still then
