LOL, you know that is true. Huntingdon has more parks than Memphis & Nashville combined. No wonder the taxes are so high. If yall would take some of that park money and put into the band, the football team would get more enjoyment

Well, all I can say is we will miss the band. .....and for all of those curious...I ask some of the football players and they said they did enjoyed the band playing, especially when TD's come with those X-tra points (Go Drake) Well, they didn't use the word "enjoy" but you know what I mean.

We will miss the band.....but this means we need to bring more milk jugs and thundersticks.

The kids were not asked if they wanted to go. I think it was a decision made by school administration. It may have had something to do with getting school buses and drivers as we have had trouble in the past getting drivers to drive to the football games.

 

Speaking from inside, a lot of school systems have cut back on travel because of gas prices. They set a certain amount of $$ for gas for the year, and in July they did not predict gas to be $3.00 in Sept. Some schools have talked about cutting out long road trips with all athletic teams. And it would be really awesome if the band "just showed up" at the game, dispite everything else.

If the charters are too expensive they should take a school bus. Its innercity memphis and they are probably scared.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------AS well they should be..fans too...where are yall playing this game..fairgrounds,greenway(naw it would be out of yalls way its on 51)....long trip for you...they probabily are taking the bands safety into their decision also..we(Dyersburg) have played teams in mempo many times..lots of police protection...geez it Terrible for a team have to travel there to play a game..GO GET "EM" STANGS....im pulling for you all the way to get that Gold Ball again...lots of challenfes after this one tho..

I'd like to see the Carver/Huntingdon game. I think Carver will play with H'town for awhile but will bow out in the second half. I'm just wondering Stang fans, has Huntingdon ever had to travel this far, this early in the playoffs before? It seems to me like they always are at home.

 

 

What's great about Huntingdon fans is that distance really doesn't matter. We love our 'Stangs and will follow them anywhere. Congratulations to Phillip "Boo" Weathers and Chris Donald on their Mr. Football nominations!

this may have been asked eariler but how in the world do you get to whithaven? I can get to memphis but if anybody has directions or exit numbers it would be greatly appreciated. I haven't missed a stang football game in several years, and I'm not going to let memphis stop me now.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------IMO that Huntingdon radio will carry it..they always have followed the Stangs wherever they play....i believe its around 105.9 fm not sure tho...turn your radio on tomorrow and see if its close to that frequency..they play country music
