Rebelguy21,

I sincerely hope your RB is healthy enough to play, this Saturday... His injury is very unfortunate.

I'm no Medical Doctor, obviously, but let me say this: The ankle is "little" but it supports an enormous amount of weight... I've "twisted" my ankle at least 4 or 5 times. It usually takes some time to fully heal.

The tricky thing is that, after a week or 2, the injured ankle may start to feel better (i.e. no noticeable soreness, with normal movement), but the moment you return to competition and make a sudden and/or hard "cut" off of it...you grimmace and realize that it ain't fully healed.

Here's my point: If your RB injured his ankle within the last month, odds are it's not 100% healed. If it is not fully healed, then his (premature) attempts to return to competition could hurt the team or, worse yet, cause more extensive damage to his ankle.

in part i agree...but in part i disagree. I had the worst sprain you can have on your ankle w/o breaking a bone last year in basketball season. To this day it is sore. BUT! Tanks injury was very mild and he will be fine. Although he didnt practice yesterday, i can assure you he will be out there on saturday. No kid in his right mind would miss the State Championship for a mild ankle sprain

WHAT? Who are you referring to? I know it's not Tank you mean...did I miss something?

Have yourself another cup of coffee there REBEL Nation ... hehe, mhs was just referring to the well intentioned post of TraderB that maybe Tank should not play . I agree with mhs , everybody's hurting after 14 games , time to strap the tape a little tighter , and separate the men from the boys . After all that Tank's been through , there's no question he's a MAN ... and one fine young man at that !

    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
