I saw the Maryville Middle School team and was very impressed. The QB was checking off about half the time and the running back is prolly ready for Freshman or JV ball right now. He was running over people. The dynasty will prolly continue as long as some of those middle school kids move on to the high school.

As long as George Quarles and his staff stay at Maryville the Rebels will play at a championship level. Those coaches are the main reason that Maryville is winning so much right now.

The skill position players will be great. Everything I hear about Tyler Clendenen is great. Maples is big time. Derek Hunt and Brent Burnett are back. Tank will be back. Ryan Singleton better work hard or Thomas Shuler can beat him out. Having Aaron Douglas back will be great. Louis Darrus and Justin Huskey will be back on the offensive line. Josh Carraway and Brauton Green will probably start. I expect the offense to be great next year.

Defensively Maryville takes a huge hit. Getting Dwight Wood,Tanner Caylor and Landon Hall back on the front 7 will help. Some defensive tackles need to step up. Maples and Shiver will be good in the secondary.

Plug and play guys...that's what GQ does best.

There's a good chance Maryville will actually be BETTER at many positions next season. This senior class will be missed of course, but many of them will be replaced pretty well.

Alcoa will do very well again next year as well. They might even be better at QB next season. No offense meant to Joei. Cobb just brings more to the table all around.

I think Singleton will be just fine he worked really hard this season but just didnt have those huge runs he had last year. Trust me his is one of the hardest workers I know
