We take the coaches word over the players because he is the adult in the situation and has much more credibility than a bunch of kids. Stop whining.

good post. that is exactly the problem. these kids think they have credibility. coach u won the state his first yr at ohs and went 2 the semis in 99.

after that we were in the same region as riverdale who has gone 2 the bcb jus about every yr. that means u have 2 play them early in the playoffs.

u had problems there b=cuz u kept on losing coaches. ur prior coach let the parents run his program and U will not let that happen.

grow up and face the world. hey better yet, move on over 2 alcoa.

This post should be closed before someone really gets hurt. What was the accusation about coach hitting player? That is the sort of thing that causes some real problems and this post should be stopped. Someone step up and close it or close coach t enough good coaches and even better people have been hurt by the stuff on these boards. Also, we should not name the kids and start calling them out, let the people in the schools make the decisions.

Have you read the article? If so, then your complaint is with the newspaper, not this message board. Nothing has been said here that is not in the article:

"Parents filed suit on behalf of four former players - Derrick Lowery, Jacob Giles, Joseph Dooley and Dillan Spurlock - alleging Euverard, athletic director Craig Kisabeth and principal Dale Schneitman violated their First Amendment right to free speech by dismissing them from the team following their role in circulating a petition to have Euverard fired in October.

All four were dismissed from the team Oct. 10.

The suit also includes details of two alleged incidents of physical abuse, one by Euverard and one by an assistant, towards two different players in 2004.

The suit accuses Euverard of delivering "a hard, open-handed punch to the side" of former player Kevin Kline's helmet during practice which "violently jarred Kline's head.""

If you don't like these boards then either don't use them or email your complaints to me at coacht@coacht.com.

In my opinion, taking Coach Euverard's word because he is so "credible" is what made this mess so much worse. Instead of just taking his word because he is an adult, the administration should have checked into all the complaints.

You gotta give the kids a little credit come on.

Also, I don't see how anyone can say JCHS had a problem before

Coach Euverard came. Yeah, Coach Meadows left after 2 years because he got a better job, but before that it was Coach K who was Coach for like 20 something years.
