Is the McCallie Inv. a tougher tournament then the State?

hek some people say that it is one of the tuffest tournments in the south for high school that is.

It could very well be the most difficult tournament in the South. However, it is still light years away from being as tough as the following tournaments:

 

Beast of the East

Ironman

Reno

Bethleham Christmas Tour

Top Hat

5 Counties

In many or most weight classes that is, e.g., John Kirn-FR of 2004. It certainly is the toughest tournament in Tennessee.

i thought Ron Lofton from Parkview should have got OW. He put on a show, in a tuff weight class.

Rabbit - I agree with you. Lofton put on a show. Other than Bell taking him into OT in the third round, he dominated in one of the toughest weight classes.

Bell is really wrestling well. That overtime match was a dandy and could have gone either way. Mike will be a force to be reckoned with at 130 as the year goes on.

i used to wrestle for walsh jesuit in ohio and the ironman is by def. #2 to the beast of the east (replying to cbq), there are no weak links in either of those.

My golly... Probably one of the toughest tournaments in the past 15-20 years... i.e.,. 2x TN State OW Felix gets frustrated in the finals and many other shockers.
