Just been keeping my head down so it don't get hit with a football.

The boss just retired so we may get some sand in our shoes, gotta go to a wedding in Panama City Beach the 6th of April. Maybe it will be 5:00 somewhere. Might see Jackson or Buffet, can't ever tell.

You know we cooked 60 racks of ribs at that last ball game?

We start the following Monday. Could you ask Coach U for me? I know both teams met in Cookeville and played at Tech last yr.....am hoping we do this yr again.

2P.....OHS will only be scrimmaging Beech, not Jeff Co.

Also........I'm hearing Coach Pipp is heading back to Ruth. Co., but will be in the wrong colors: purple and gold

You must be hearing right cause Coach Pipp hasn't been at workouts in about a month and I haven't seen him at school in a while either. What position is he possibly taking?

would you guys consider 6.63 seconds on the pro agility skill good for an upcoming freshman that was a QB in middle school?

I'm not too sure but it sounds pretty good. I can't recall what my time was this time last year. Are any freshman planning on coming and wathcing spring practice tomorrow or do you all still have workouts?

we still have workouts otherwise i would to get a better understanding on how coach euverard does things. but we are doing weights then going to the back of somwhere.

Last year we didn't workout through spring practice. As far as how practice went today, we had 5 min. periods or stations that we would go to. We did a little hitting but not to much.

    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
    • Hopefully you’re not signing off for good. There are a lot of Oak Ridge fans that appreciate your comments.
    • Florida tried urban/rural split two years ago. 4 urban classes, 4 rural classes. Didn’t work. Next year they will have 7 regular classes, 1 urban class for small schools only.
