BA was the best of the four teams, but each squad was outstanding. I felt bad for Chism having to nurse his ankle during the second half. With him in the game, Bolivar would have beaten Mitchell, who needs a day-long crash course in offensive discipline after hoisting more three-pointers than Princeton on stimulants.

Josh Bone made Brentwood Academy great tonight. He has vastly improved his game since I last saw him, and he was pretty darn good when I last saw him. He drives with the intensity of a Pamplona bull and shoots with the lightness of a down pillow. His three-pointers and Brandan's improbable doubleteam-breaking layins gave the Eagles the win tonight.

Divepix, you're right. I counted at least one block the stats didn't record. My final numbers had him with 22 points, 9 boards, and 9 blocks.

It was a special atmosphere at the Curb Center tonight. It was also a privilege to meet CoachT, his son, VolGen, and Solomon! I'm glad they could witness some quality BA basketball.

I'm going against the grain here and saying Bolivar looked the best when Chism was in there. They were getting mauled in the 1st quarter by Mitchell and nothing was being called but once they adjusted they really started to look good IMO. If he would have stayed healthy they def would have won that game.

Wright looked like the best player. Altered every single shot down low and looked really good handling the ball

Mitchell and Bolivar both looked like they were a bit blinded by the lights to me. Great athletes...poor discipline. Mitchell has probably the most quality players, but what were they thinking? Their game plan appeared to be "let's walk it up the court and the first player with an open 3 takes it." Clearly Bolivar would have won that game if Chism stayed in, but overall, the best two teams by far were BA and Ridgeway tonight, and BA was the best. They just were killers when they had to be.

The BA v. Mitchell matchup and the BA v. Bolivar rematch should be good ones, if the infamous Memphis refs don't foul Wright and Bone out in the first quarter.

Seemed the exact opposite tonight. They wouldnt call anything on him even when he did bring his hands down and make contact. Could have probably called 1-2 of his blocks fouls.

Did anyone else not like the way they changed announcers for the BA game and let their normal announcer do it? They also gave them the home court advantage with the music in warmups and other things. Wasn't appropriate in my opinion.

It's my understanding that this was intended to replace a BA home game.

Are they having a rematch? If so when and where?

no, the only rematch is Bolivar on Feb 9

yeah..I was wondering why the PA guy was a BA homer. I figured BA was just the host team or something. No big deal really. The BA crowd was great. And I thought it was really cool of them to cheer for Bolivar while they waited for their game to get going. It`s great to see high school kids having fun like that. Much different than the small contingent of Ridgeway kids who, to their credit, came up from Memphis but then didn`t represent themselves or their school well by their off the cuff cheers when a call didn`t go their way. If you were at the game you know what I mean. It`s great to come and support your high school team, but do it with some class.

First time I have seen Wright play and a couple of things that impressed me was that he was good at getting position and when he shoots the ball his release is soooo way up there. Best way to defend him is when he does get it down low to quickly double team him. I noticed that many times he likes to put a spin move on his defender and when Ridgeway got another player on him it would affect his shot some or he would come close to getting a charge called on him.
