I'd like to add my congratulations to Leah Stone as well. I think she scored point #1000 against Marshall Co. in Lewisburg. I hope to make the rematch in Summertown providing I have no conflicts that night. I guess I better make my Feb. calendar huh.

The difference in my mind was Summertown's depth. 8 players played significant minutes. I thought Loretto wore down a little more than Summertown. Both teams played hard.

 

It says a lot for district 12A when a top AA team like Loretto's only losses are to Summertown and Wayne Co.

This appears to have been a great game by two very talented teams in Lawrence County. It is not a surprise to me that Summertown pulled this one out as their defense will force even the most fundamental of teams to turn the ball over. Loretto should take some comfort in the fact that both Summertown and Wayne County would take down a lot of AA teams, so all is not lost for the Lady Mustangs. This Saturday, they'll take on another 12A team in Perry County who will have Edney this time around. Don't be surprised if this game is close as well.

According to Loretto's TSSAA schedule, the start time at Perry Co. this Saturday (Feb 4) will be 6:00. Schedules are subject to change however and hopefully someone from either school will verify.
