That location for the tournament is wrong cause they say it is in the middle yea right knoxville is in the middle how bout the ppl coming from scott and morgan like 1:45 min drive

It is also giving catons chapel bball team a home court advantage cause I know from experiecne i played against them 2 years ago on the HMS bears got screwed by the refs cause we was playing them at there home court. Went in at half winning by 21 lost by 1 in OT cause a 3 seconds call with 12 seconds left. Im pulling for Huntsville Harriman or oneida to win this.

I don't know why people are complaining about the location being at caton's chapel. Knoxville would not be in the middle of East Tennessee (as far as driving time is considered). Teams are having to come from as far east as Rogersville, Johnson City, and Bristol. The drive to Pigeon Forge is about as far for them as it is for people from Morgan and Scott County.

I think they might feel that it would be a little faster and easier trip because it would be mostly interstate instead of getting of I-40 and going deep into sevier co.

I know I was stuck in "vacation" traffic forever last year and had to use a road map to go around it to get to the game on time. So I would be glad to have it moved to a better location.

I think that huntsville or harriman will come out of the top part of the bracket and i think they'll either play the winner of oneida and bluff city when they play cuz i heard bluff city was pretty good and i think oneida is one of the best if not the best team in this tournament. I know that huntsville beat them when it counts, but i think oneida will recover from that loss and realize that they aren't perfect and that they can be beat and start playin more as a team than every player on the team trying to score 30 a night and leading the team to victory. In the district tournament i think they was playing to win, but they was more interested in who was gonna get all district and district mvp. Now that they've been beat i think they'll realize its better to win as a team and everybody do just as good as someone else than to try to play 1 on 5 ball and get beat.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
