I don't think that would surprise anyone who knows their basketball! As I said in another post, I will be surprised if anyone from our district besides LA stays within 10 points in the first round!! But if LA plays their "A" game they got a chance to win region.

 

 

IT appears that I am one that does NOT know their basketball being that LA was the ONLY one that really was blown away!!! In the future I think I will stick with the FB threads until I realize I don't know much about that either! Can you say STUPID!!!

I wouldn't say your stupid, there weren't very many people that thought this first round would go the way it did with Upperman and Macon playing so close to White House and Station Camp, but that's why the games are played. And even though Goodpasture won by 19, it wasn't a huge blowout. This game was back and forth and really close until the fourth. But if you consider it a blowout than Greenbrier won their game by 16, only 3 points difference :thumb:

Congratulations to all of the 8-AA teams on their wins last night. I was also surprised the Station Camp/Macon and White House/Upperman game were as close as they were. I was impressed with # 20 (Randolph) for Dekalb. Is he a senior?

 

How many rebounds and blocks did Greer for Greenbrier have last night? I’m guessing he had a triple double….

 

Looking forward to another district tournament………..

It's me again, I am 4 for 4 baby!!!

I am on fire just like JJ!!

Should be some great games Thurs. night.!!

White House's gym will be rockin baby, just like Camron indoor, well maybe it will be close!!!

 

Call me crazy, but I am going with Greenbrier over White House should be a barn burner.

 

Call me even crazier, after Tues., but I going with Station Camp over Goodpasture in another barn burner!!!

 

The barns will be burning Thurs. in White House Baby!!!!!

And if you think s.c. has any chance to beat goodpasture then you are crazy. I tell you what goodpasture put up 92 on s.c. the first time i say they get a 100 this time we will see wh and goodpasture in the region champiopnship wh has already beat them twice but it will be a great game.

Yeah Greenbrier only scored 5 points in the first half against White House the first time the played this year, but you must not have read the part where White House only scored 11 POINTS in the first half of that game. It was a defensive game and very bad shooting from both teams. Now you may be right about White House beating Greenbrier tomorrow but remember, Goodpasture beat Greenbrier twice this year and GB beat them in the district semis, and Station Camp beat Greenbrier twice this year and GB beat them in the district championship...so don't say WH will beat GB just because they beat them twice this year.

 

And coachhard, I don't know if he had a triple double or not...he probably had about 20 rebounds but I think he only got about 6-8 blocks.

Congratulations to all of the teams who advanced to the semi's. The pressure changes a little bit tonight. I think that White House probably wins against Greenbrier tonight, BUT the Bobcats have played well as the underdog throughout the tournaments. The home court advantage may be hard to overcome. The SC vs Goodpasture game is a pick 'em game to me. Goodpasture put up a lot of points against them, but didn't look real good in the tournament. So which team shows up for Goodpasture. SC plays very emotionally and plays well with the lead. However, they sometimes don't play too well defensively. They survived some mental mistakes last night (over the back foul on a free throw twice late in the game), but you can't do those things and win this late in the year. Good luck to all as the sectional awaits the winners.

Please excuse Tim, as we've been doin' for quite a while now. God bless him. He gets confused sometimes and can't say a lot (or read! :thumb: ). I'm surprised that he used capitalization correctly. Way to go, timmy!

I'm being serious now. This is the boy's basketball forum. Girl's scores should be put on the girl's basketball forum. Does that make sense to ya? :(

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
