Congratulations to all 3 of these teams and their respective coaches. This is something all of Robertson County should be proud of. We had a similar situation in football this year with East, Jo Byrns and Greenbrier all winning their Regions.

 

Here are some key points to remember about these 3 teams accomplishments this year:

 

Springfield moved up from AA to AAA and still captured 10-AAA title against some very strong Clarksville schools. They would have dominated 8-AA and probably been state bound if they would have remained in AA.

 

Greenbrier was # 4 seed entering the 8-AA tournament and pulled two big upsets over the 1 and 2 seeds to claim their 8-AA title. They also have the easiest bracket to the region finals and possibly a sub state game if they continue to play like they have.

 

East Robertson plays in an extremely competitive district including some serious county rivals like WH Heritage and Jo Byrns. East Lit was the favorite but was beat on a last second shot by Nashville Christian.

 

Once again….. congratulations to all of these teams and their coaches.
