Velocity is sooooo overated.. Location is 5 times more important. I dont know why everyone judges a pitcher on how hard they throw. Some of the best pitchers I have ever faced cannot break 85

I've heard that their allot of JV'ers moving up for them but they will be good plus their playing at their place which is arguablly the best home field advantage in the conference. So it will be tough for DB and you can never tell in a season opener it should be good though.

As of matter a fact he does throw in the 80's. He has been clocked at 84.

 

 

After watching the first two scrimmages vs. Elizabethton, the 'tall lefty' was the most effective of the pitchers. He located well with his breaker, inside/outside, and his fastball was very efficient along with his breaking 'stuff'. And yes, without a doubt, he was in the low 80's which was all he needed with his other pitches. There were some other good pitchers, but he was, by far, the best of what we saw. Maybe it was just 'his' day, but he was well schooled and handled himself very well on the hill.

GLee, if what you are saying is true, then good for Lucas. He's a really good, humble, hard-working kid with great parents. I've known him since he was little and he really deserves the success.

not really we played two times and beat them both times they dont have a really good pitching this year
