Blakely t'ed up for his fith foul.....went up for an alley oop.....the pass was high, he grabbed the rim and was given the T.

 

That was the most ridiculous call I've seen in my life.

 

Hate to see a kid as good and talented as Blakely end his career like that.

A staggering statistic for you: Free Throws; Cosby 6-11 Humboldt 23-37

Yes Humboldt should have gotten more free throws due to their style of play, driving and slashing to the goal, but a +26 margin is ridiculous. Also, Humboldt had the edge 25 to 7 in second chance points. The better team won but Cosby really had a great season, they just played poorly today and the officials didn't help. I'm not saying the refs cost them the game, but the fouls really hurt them. They would've been a lot closer down the stretch it not for foul trouble and the free throw discrepancy. I believe the 1A state Champs just won this game.

3-pointers do not win ball games. Cosby relies heavily on the 3. Humboldt can slash to the basket and use their quickness and Cosby can do nothing.

Right. They shot way too many threes. I think that hurt them..they were outrebounded big time. Refs. don't affect hit and misses or rebounds.

Cosby played a very good game, but by far, Humboldt out-sized them. 84-64. Good game boys. I think that Humboldt will go on to win the State!

There is a difference in the way bball is played in Tennessee...I think Cloudland and Cosby found out today they aren't playing where it is stronger...West Tennessee teams have to go all out every night...That's why they are stronger...

It`s tough to win getting outrebounded 58-32. Was Humboldt that much bigger than Cosby?

Humboldt is awesome on the boards. I'm a Halls fan and they outrebounded us 50-25 in the regional semis; of course we only lost by eight.
