I"d say to look for the same ole 6-7 teams that are in the hunt every year with Maryville being at the top of the list.

Maryville is the top dog until they get knocked off, Look for Henry county to show up in the finals.

I don't expect Maryville will have the Defence they had last season, but I expect them to score alot more points than last season. I expect Maryville to run the table during the regular season. The play-offs are always another issue but Maryville will have the kids to defend the crown.

I think out of the East, Maryville has to be the favorites with all the offensive players they have returning. After that, Central will have good team returning. I was impressed last year with Red Bank and Rhea Co. However, if Hammontree has left there, as was mentioned on another thread, that could change some things. I think Powell and West will also be quality clubs. The run for the state title, as usual, will run thru region 3-4a.

I am from the Chattanooga area and follow region 4-4A. What impressed you about Red Bank and Rhea last year? Both I agree are quality teams.

I thought both of those teams, especially RB, had very good individual talent and played a lot of underclassman. RB was very fast and they hit hard. Rhea was big and had good skill position players. If I remember, a ton of kids on that team return. Their offense, against Central, played very well. Now, if Hammontree is gone, while those kids are still there, they may have to adapt to a new system, which could set them back some. It will be a real dog fight down there for the top spot, though, and a lot of fun to follow.

I thought Rhea and Red Bank were much improved. What I can't understand is what happended to Chattanooga Central? In 04 during the play-offs the Pounders Size and excution was impressive and they gave Maryville more fitts than anyone else that year. In 05 I thought they were going to be the team to beat and on top of 4-4A. What do you think happended to the Pounders?

If Alcoa and Goodpasture happen to make it back to the championship game.....who will it be?...any thoughts?What other teams on both side have a chance to beat one of these two teams?

 

I'll go out on a huge limb here and say Maryville gets back to Murfreesboro

 

Who will they play????? I'll go out on a "twig" and predict that the Rebels will be facing the Maplewood Panthers in the state title game. That's right folks I said MAPLEWOOD. Terrence Holt is the real deal at running back and he'll carry them on his shoulders to a championship game appearance.
