mh7, good logic. Apparently you and few others understand pitch count and necessary arm care. There's a great difference between a starter and reliever and you can't do both simultaneously, regardless of what conventional high school coaching wisdom says. All you have to do is look at how the pros do it. Could they be doing it wrong?

How much did Lintz throw tonight. Gosh- he just threw over 8 innings on Monday night. A hard thrower needs to rest. His arm will be mush by May.

 

He came on in the 7th with men on base & faced three batters

I think,maybe four, stricking out the final

two men he faced...mush arm & all.

 

Oh yeah, Lamm was on deck when the last out was made.

It is indeed a great district race, tigerman. With 2 weeks remaining, any of the top four could win the regular season crown. Everything will not be decided until 4-27 when Page is at Marshall, Lewis at Loretto, and Giles at Spring Hill. I'm sure both of us will be pulling for Lewis and Spring Hill on that final day. There could be tie-breakers involved and certainly Marshall's 2 wins over Loretto will come into play.
