There is mention of Creekwood all through this topic, but no mention of Marshall County. They won state last year, have secured a place in the region, and have beaten (slaughtered) Creekwood in a tournament this year. Their "ace" pitcher was throwing too. Don't count MC out too quick. Granted, because they won state last year doesn't automatically mean that they are going to go again this year, but they are extrememly capable.

District 13 AA in West Tennessee ended up today.

Milan was the champions and Dyersburg was the runner up.

I believe that Covington won in their District with Haywood as the runner up which will have Covington hosting Dyersburg and Milan Hosting Haywood next week in the regionals. Covington is looking to make a return trip back to the state but anything can happen.

information on Camden? pitching? batting?

Camden 38-8. They have outscored opponents 227-88 this season....Ace pitcher who is a Junior, is now 22-1 with a microscopic ERA >.7....several batters with greater than .325 BA...one I know has an OB%>.700...one batter with 6 homers on the season and 5 other batters who have put at least one over. The Lady Lions are on an 11 game winning streak and have outscored their opponents 75-11 in those last 11 games. Very young team with lots of travel experience, only have 2 seniors on the squad and neither of those start but do have 3 Freshmen in the starting line-up....as far as coaching goes you would be hard pressed to find one better. Will this be Camden's year? Stay tuned.
