Who will win the NL East

In 1992 the Braves were 9 games out at the first of August and came back to overtake the Dodgers in the old NL West and in my opinion, the Braves have a better lineup now than they did then! The difference was pitching and I think the Braves pitching is coming around!

In my opinion the 2006 lineup is better everywhere except leftfield and the SP has the potential to be just as good as the SP in 1992, the Braves just need to get some bullpen help and they will make their run!

You got to remember, James has only started 3 games! He is not a proven pitcher yet and we dont know how he will respond to the pressures of a playoff race! So lets wait until James gets a little more expierence under his belt before we going throwing him ahead of a guy like Thomson!

Horacio is good, but Thomson is still alot more consistent!

Hard to believe the Braves are still 13GB after winning 7 out of 10.....

yeah but the number we need to focus on right now is 6 1/2 back in wild card race.

Braves had a 2 eun lead going into the ninth, two outs and blew the lead. Braves won in 11 innings...15-12. They still need to solve the bullpen problem.

this is why Bobby Cox is a great manager...he is not flashy, he just keeps it cool and gets the job done....if they can get in the playoffs or at least finish .500 or better he will have done one of his best jobs ever

Atlanta is primed for a second half run, and with the schedule in there favor for August, dont be if they are within 6-8 games of NY going into Sept!
