Riverdale takes it. Riverdale's defense is more solid in the back than even Blackman's defense, however if Cookeville can get some crosses in, they have a chance to score. They only had about 5 or 6 shots against blackman, but three of those went in, they were quality crosses and big finishes.

But I agree Riverdale will take it and the score will be 3 or 4 to 0.

it was tied at 1 in the first half. cookeville began to play sloppy defense in the second half and the rest is history. good luck to both teams in regions next week

The rain and wind were at the face of Riverdale and the backs of Cookeville, it was easier for Cookeville to get the ball down at thier end. At half time though, rain was letting up. That was a huge advantage for Cookeville in the first half to have the wind at thier backs. There were only 4 shots on goal that first half. One off a corner that went in and the other one looked closed, but James Holt had it covered. In the second half, the goalie didn't touch the ball until the JV came. Defense was stellar, but the midfield of Dan Campbell and Jose Cruz controled the ball in the middle and was more effective in the second half without the rain and wind

I think Cookeville is a good team and they will get another shot at Riverdale in the regional finals. They played Riverdale tough in the season, but Riverdale has gotten better and better as the season as progressed.

RIVERDALE 7 - Cookeville 1...

Goals: Shayne Rollins - 4, Tim reed, Shaun Willis, and Jasper Driskill - 1 goal each.

Both teams played great in the first half, but Riverdale stepped it up a couple notches in the second and scored 3 goals in about 5 minutes.

And the Riverdale defense looked great.

Riverdale definitely came to win.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
