Congratulations to Kathy Kroeger of Independence High School in setting the new state record for the Girls' 3200m.

Kathy set a new state record last night beating the 13 year old record by 13 seconds. Her closest opponent was 1:30 away. The new record is 10:33.32. She will run at 5:20 on Wednesday the 24th at MTSU.

She is awesome but she only broke it by 0.71

Renae broke it twice tis year.

The girls race should be a great race. Who knows what those girls will run when they have someone to run with.

I was not aware of the other runner's performance. Wow, sounds like this will be a great race to watch. The odds are in favor of the record being broken again with these great runners scheduled to compete against each other. Best wishes to all of them.

I saw Kathy Kroeger at the Kenwood sectionals and she was impressive. Also, she's only 14!!

Congratulations to Kathy Kroeger on a stellar performance in the 3200 M race. Another state championship added to her collection. To think she is only a freshmen. She dominated in XC and now Track. She still has a couple of events left to run at State; 1600M and 4x800M.

She may bring home a couple more medals...all the best!

The race wasn't as wonderfully fantastic as we would have hoped. But still good times. The AAA girls mile and 800 were the best events of the day!
