proud2b
Ok now we all know that the purpose of this posting site is NOT to dog, degrade, talk-down, poke fun etc. of ANY PLAYER past, present or future. BUT I must respond on behalf of Brock and his family. And who ever posted that up there: "that sure don't sound like the Brock I know". He played strong and hard NOT for himself but for the TEAM and the mere fact that he HATES to lose. His attitude is just as respectful as any of the other team players out there across this district. I do know that Brock came here as a junior high player ONLY because his family brought him here, it was not his choice to leave his hometown. His roots and love for the game began when he was a little boy in California. Playing sports comes natural to him, so joining the Richland Raiders only seemed natural, even though he was never truely accepted. He is a true team player and he is the kind of person who always make the best of any situation. Who ever posted that up there saying he never celebrated with the team, or never thanked the line, the backs or ANY other team mate is SORELY INSECURE of their own abilities. It is clear that whoever posted that up there is someone who does not know Brock for who he is as a true friend and competitor. I for one wish EVERY team and teamplayer across this district great success. And wish to set the truth free as this is his mother, Tamara Dias & I am "proud2b".... Good luck to all... Play with Heart & Respect your fellow human beings.
Lions4ever
Richland did not loose Cory Pickett but they did loose Brock Dias who was a outstanding tailback but I believe they are some things about brock that people besides on his former team didnt know about him.Brock was the kinda player that would stand all alone on the thirty yard line while the rest of his team was celebrating on the fifty if he didnt get his yards, touchdowns, praise, or glory.I dont want anyone taking me wrong on this post he was a very good back and he could pound that rock but he never once stopped and said thanks line, fulback, halfback, coaches.Richland will miss his talent but teamwork, heart, and friendship lays in question.Richland was built last year on the word TEAM from thursdays nights at their head coaches house watching game film for the next night to sunday morning at church. They are truly brothers and friends. This team has a great line and I know they will find a rushing attack without mr.dias.We all wish him the best in the future and hope he contiues to grow as a young adult. Richland will be a major force to deal with this year,I would say I hope yall pick agaisnt us and that it will only add fuel to the fire but its to late for that this team is already fueled. One thing I can say about Dias is that he was one of the few on the Richland team that wasn't guilty of the cheap shots Camden and a bunch of other teams saw at the beginning of last season. If I were you, I'd be careful who I dogged and what I dogged 'em for. We've seen alot worse things out of some Raider players than not celebrating after a play. Lions4ever
Richland is dirty, a little, but, hey, its 2a football!! Well there's playing tough and giving cheap shots...big difference. The play-off game against Richland was just good hard football...now that first game...hmmm not so much.
Raider_55
I really dont know where to start but I first must state that the person that made the post before about brock was made by a teammate of his for two years and it was clearly true. Its hard to give a cheap shot when you do not go all out on defense. This is not the site for family personal feelings, this is more for the players, fans, and teammates that truly have love and support for the team and the teammates. Jp-tiger
I am looking forward to seeing Waverly play. This is the second year for Coach Graves at Waverly. His second year at head coach of a high school team. They had a nice improvement last year, I'm hoping to see the same this year. It will be interesting... It takes time, so hopefully it will be a Great season.
