As you know...it happens every year. The ones that did make it are very good. Some very good ones were left off too.

The ones that made the list are all very good players. Congratulations to all of them.

The only thing that I hate to see is when pitchers make it in another position in front of better position players, all because they run out of room for pitchers.

I'm sure that all of these girls deserve to be All-State. So why not add more pitchers to the list and give the position players the credit they deserve.

Yes, I know and I think you know this is exactly why I don't care much for "All-Whatever" teams. Big Mac was instumental in MJ's 2nd place finish in the state and certainly deserves the recognition.

I didn't get to see her this year...but to get that far...she has to be good. I don't doubt at all she should have made it.

You are right about these teams. It seems to be more of a popularity contest.

We both know some stats turned in are padded. Also...some have faced much lesser competition.

What happened to GPS in DII?

They got rolled over by the Irish Express. Congradulations to Emma, Diane, Merrick, Katy, Meaghan, and Muriel on making all-state. Also congrats to Coach Davidson and Coach Johnson. You girls make Irishland proud. I wonder if a repeat is not possible, only time will tell. Also anyone know where any of the girls are playing college? :D

    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
