Brentwood struggled against CC. Gave up a lot of yardage and didn't do much on offense after the first half.

I can assure you brentwood will be a very well coached team and play very hard they always do.

 

I can also assure you everyone at Smyrna expectsa a tough close game and thats how they will prepare.

 

I do like how Smyrna has the ability on offense to take what a team gives you and can check at the line to get into the right play. Last friday smyrna threw on some short yardage situations and ran a couple times on 3rd and 5 or more and was sucsesful.

 

I did not realize it but Smyrna averaged 9.7 yds per carry in the second half last week.

 

That will be tough to do against brentwood because I guarantee their front line and lbs will be much better that Lavergne.

 

I do like that our 1st game opponent runs an offense similar to brentwood since that will give us a little prep as opposed to brentwoods opponent coffee county whose offense is nothing like smyrnas and requires a lot of pre season practice time to prep for the wing t.

 

should be a really good game

 

 

as a side note the last time smyrna beat brentwood the main kid for us that yr in that game was a kid named Marsalous Johnson the Wilks kid at receiver is his brother

You know, you MIGHT be right lol. And whats funny is that when i watched the telivised game, they was on his jock about football and they were clueless that he a more dominant baseball player. Naw but I don't know a lot about Brentwood but I'm sure they will play better than LaVergne played friday night. If Smyrna stays consistent they will win.

brentwood..what i was told their qb trew 3 picks last week and didnt look to hott..but the fullback was a beast and one heck of a athleate on d..i expect brentwood to have their team prepared for the game like always and have a solid football team..goodluck bruins..
