This football player is an enigma.

He has clearly improved on the field, but apparently still does the same stuff off the field. Hanging around the wrong places at the wrong time invites trouble even if you're not a highly paid professional athlete. Add his celebrity and it is a magnet for this type of attention.

Some athletes have their careers derailed by this stuff when they are playing. Others can't make the transition once they leave the game. Either way, Pac continues to embarass his coach, his team, and his reputation by his actions. His career may end-up being derailed before it has a chance to prove itself.

Fisher is dealing with grown men and legal adults. They are responsible for their own actions. I'd hit Pac in the wallet. Fisher can't afford to sit him or trade him at this point.

Remind me.......

Who really wanted Pacman to begin with? Fisher, Reese, or Adams?

And for what it's worth, for everyone who was screaming draft Mike Williams (the other option when Pacman was drafted)....he's not turned into much more either. At least Pacman has shown a little bit of an ability to perform on the field.

From my knowledge in talking with some of the coaches, the decision to go defense first was the biggest hurdle.

Chow liked Williams, but it was pointed out to him that unless they got some help in the secondary, his game planning ability would be out the window after the second series. Remember, both Rolle and Dyson were gone and Woolfolk hadn't shown anything at all.

The Titans needed to address the corners and it was between Rolle and Jones. It was the consensus among the scouts and league that Rolle would end up playing safety. The Titans also hadn't faced the big receivers in their division that someone like Rolle could handle. They were concerned about covering Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Keenan McCardell, and others like them. With Jones, they felt, they'd get more speed, equal cover skills, and a dramatic upgrade in the return game (which was terrible for years and almost cost Alan Lowry his job).

Mike Williams would be considered a colossal bust if it wasn't for the even bigger bust of Charles Rogers. Rolle got injured early in the season, so his ability is questioned at this point.

There were a lot of mixed reviews of Pac's off the field issues. The WVU head coach vouched for him. The Titans took a gamble-and so far the gamble is looking like a bigger one than they expected.

Well not to take up for him but they said on NewsChannel5 that it was disorderly conduct & Public Intoxication. Big difference from DUI, for both the court system & the league.

Still needs to grow up though. Everyone knows the common denominator in all of this....ALCOHOL!! Got to stay away from it! He obviously dosen't handle it very well.

Mike Williams AND Charles Rogers have been HUGE busts & BOTH are in danger of being cut. I'm still glad the Titans drafted Pacman.
