Offense once again looked rough at times. Beech's defense tackled really well and they put a lot of pressure on the quarterback. It looked like Beech played with nothing to lose and Gallatin was slow getting started. Ferrill took the blame in the paper for some bad reads but he played much better in the second half. He ended up with 138 yards but if he hadn't gotten some penalties on some long runs, he would have had a lot more. Holder ran real aggressive and broke some long runs but he has to hold onto the football. Ferrill had a beautiful pass to Butler that was well defended. Overall on offense if we can stop making stupid penalties then we will be OK. The coaching staff keeps saying we are making progress but I guess my untrained eye is not seeing it.

Defense however is dominating!! Who is gonna be the first to score on us? There is noway that we can keep up this streak. When we start playing some of these more highpowered offenses, they will score. How will we handle it? But so far after playing 3 games we have only given up a little over 100 yards on the ground. Mike Shebaldi(spelling) got another int. to put him at 5 for the year.

Good job guys!!

Beech came out and switched from their smokestack to more of a motion offense. It put a lot of pressure on the linebackers and the safety. That coupled with a few completions had the defense off-balance until we made some corrections. But hand it to Beech. Gallatin had the ball 1st and goal twice in the first half and ended up with only 2 fgs. With fullback Glover out after the injury the Gallatin smokestack didn't get much done. One thing for sure, the Beech players will be feeling this game all week. Grizzard and Taylor the qb were both hit hard all night.

Grizz and Stil took a beating, but thought that Beech held up well against the Wave. The Wave has taken a beating the past few years with violations and all, and I think this could be the year for the Wave of Redemption - looks like a big giantic wave on the other side of the field with so many players standing over there! Good luck Wave! :thumb:
