youdontknowme
I beg to differ with YDKM and Kill, I think adding T. Jeffers to the secondary actually makes the loss of Buttram less painful. He has good range, speed, and appears to see the field much better than some of his counterparts. He had an interception against Wartburg, but just didn't bring it in. His height is certainly going to work for him. I'd say his only draw back right now is I'm still not sure how he plays in run support, but if the LB's do their job it won't matter. I would think the key to this game is Oneida's ability to put the QB on his kiser! Oneida 24 Williamsburg 10 Kaz Now Kaz, I only said that it will hurt them some. Jeffers has the potential to make some plays but if he was better than Buttram wouldn't he be starting? I hope that the Qb is on his back to, but the boys are going to have to gang tackle because he is not an easy cat to bring down. kazam37
My personnal feeling is that Jeffers would be in the starting line-up with more "seasoning". Buttram has been through the "ringer", so to speak, but I would think TJ is gonna push everyone in the secondary with his natural athletic skills. Don't forget he was an exceptional Jr High player and those kids have a way of eventually rising to the top. You, of all people, should know you don't play grade, you play players. In my opinion, Jeffers looks and acts like a player. Kaz Oh yeah, feed #8, he looks hungry!
youdontknowme
I totally agree that you should play by ability not by grade but Buttram has done nothing to lose his position, and if Jeffers is that good then I am sure TL will find a spot to put him. #8 hungry????........are you kidding? He is starved!
kazam37
You mis-read my line, I said TJ will push everyone in the secondary, not just Buttram. Its cool though Bro, better to be able to replace an injury with a quality player, than a band aid.
Bassfishing_205
This is real off the subject but i got sumthing to ask who runs the 2 fastest forties on the team and wat is the time. kazam37
I'm not sure the team has posted forty times. Just from watching them at game speed, I'd venture their two fastest players could be Z. Lambert and possibly A. Buttram or prehaps, A. Jeffers. The defense is full of players that are fast to the ball: Keeton, Morgan, Hughett, Lewallen, Christianson, and Brummitt (lineman) to name a few. I hope all them fellers arrive in Williamsburg with a nasty disposition and a willingness to do something with it!
