This is not the same Portland that the Knights defeated last year. Remember the Panthers came to Kenwood last year at 5-0 with an AP Ranking of #4 in the state 4A poll. They departed with a loss that began a spiral downward in the poll and the region. Portland limped into the playoffs and lost to Hillsboro 42-0. This year the roles are reversed a bit. Kenwood is the team on a roll in the region. The Knights are much faster than last year and more balanced on both sides of the ball. This game will mark Kenwood's second consecutive homecoming as the visitors. Many teams sought out the Kenwood of two years ago as an easy win for Homecoming. How times have changed over the last two years. Unless the Knights get over confident and play sloppy, Kenwood wins this one by 14. Portland needs to pray they do not get shut out for Homecoming

And why do you say this Wingman10? Kenwood is not overlooking anyone! From here on out, each team in the region will play for the Region Crown. Portland is a good young team who runs the ball very well in the Wing T. Kenwood will have to be on their toes to keep Protland at bay and off the scoreboard! Good Luck to both teams Friday night! It is Homecoming for the Panthers and Kenwood would love to spoil it for them!
