I was just stating if you read my post that Trousdale Co. is no Queen. They were playing two leagues up. They should have played A ball and chose to play AAA.

I used Scott because they were discussing the Scott AE score. How many times did Scott Co. beat Fulton in the 90's. Can you name how many times in 10 years that Scott Co. beat Fulton. I don't have a problem with Scott Co. until folks like yourself and a couple of others act as if the Highlanders have had much success in this decade or last, and put other schools and leagues down. I try to only state facts that I know about. I did not intend to use Scott Co in negative situation, but it did seem to come out that way. I do wish the Highlanders much success.

By the way I have never lost a game to the Highlanders.

Good luck the Wildcats and Roadrunners.

Hey Leonard, are you sure that TC played two levels up? I thought that their enrollment bumped them to 2A, so they decided to move on up to 3A?

The game was played on 9-29,L.A lost 69-0.

does anyone know who #52 was of LA, he showed the best sportmanship at the end of the game than any kid i've ever seen, i stuck around at the end and he was at the end of the line and he was actually giving some of those other teamates a hug and also the coaches, now that to me is sportsmanship after just loosing 69-0.

I wasn't able to attend the game I was out of town so if anyone has any information about how the game went, please post. Thanks and I don't consider this running up the score. I'm pretty sure Coach Graham played his 3's and 4's when the score got out of hand. Like I posted last week, will you tell the people that don't play as much to just take a knee every time they touch they ball? No, so they will do whatever they can to get their name in the paper too. AE is starting to click and that's good...

I usually have no problem with games like this. You can't tell the kids to just lay down. But how about the timeout by AE with the ball, 35-0, and 30 seconds to go before halftime? Explain that? It seemed pretty obivious we couldn't score, so that extra TD before halftime wasn't real necessary!! As far as the game went, it was 7-0 after 1. AE scored again early in 2nd and LA fumbled the kickoff which AE recovered and ran for another TD(2 TD's in 8 seconds) which made it 21-0 and was pretty well over at that point. LA couldn't do anything right and AE couldn't do anything wrong--pretty well sums it up!!!

Wish I could say "what goes around comes around", but it will probally never happen!! Not from LA anyway. Don't you wish you could have done that last year in the playoffs when it really mattered though?? :thumb::)

That last sentence probably hit home to him OldCatFan. lol.

It always comes around, whether it be LA or not. It will come around at some point. It always does.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
