Funniest thread i've ever read... we should get paid for building up all these egos....

Here is my Scott High list (with GLORY DAYS playing in the background)

Don't confuse effort with results gentlemen

1. Don Lowe Jr (be in pros except for medical injuries, Started for BAMA)

2. Scott Brummet (Turned down a few NFL camps, Started for UNC)

3. Wesley Smith (over 1700 yds in only 10 games, over 3,800 career yds)

4. Dustin "Ducky" Jeffers (Broke career rushing, scoring, points and TD records)

5. Jordon Jeffers (Fastest Highlander on the field)

6. Daniel Smith (12 career individual records, 2,100 pass and run yds senior season)

7. Toss up from here on out.... Effort and results

In my opinion only the top Highlander teams can produce the top Highlander players... 1979, 1984-85, 1993-94, 1999, 2003

your bout stupid how you like that kazam 37-slower then stank on a dog terd

Bill Hall = spit on a hot skillet

Donnie Lowe Sr = The Mountain (they are big, and neither will move)

Tony Lambert = The Pocket Rocket

Jordan Jeffers = Like catching a chicken in a 100 yard pen

David Phillips = made Scott and Oneida both look good

Derek Lawson = Oneida Version of Hall

Stan Pennington = State Championship QB (no one else can claim that)

Joel Cotton = The Human Wrecking Ball

Daniel King = True Mike LB

Jake Lowe = Aw Shucks Brain Scrambler

Dane Buttram = Night Train Dane

Scott Brumett = Carolina Blue Boy

Nick Daugherty = Human Bulldozer

Bart Canfield = Destroyed UT's Kevin Mays head to head

The Old Indian Teams in the Fifties were unbeaten and untied for long stretches, so it stands to reason that they had some players in their day, too. Heres a few I heard about:

Ray Booher = they say this old boy rivaled Hall, Lawson, and Jeffers.

Ronnie Jeffers = scored 40 points one night against Knox Karns

Ray Porter = Old Wardaddy

Charlie Newport = played 5 years, lost two games career

Mike Swain = heard he was golden boy QB

;) Kaz

hey bass when you get to practice today look on the wall at the '84 team #'s 8 and 9 (tony lambert and kirk buttram) weren't too bad .jeff goodman #60 on that team weighed like 160 and hit like 230

Bill Hall was a great player. I had the privelege of watching him play and yes he was fast. I also think Wesley Smith was a great player. Did he go anywhere to play?

martin was no doubt a man amoung boys, but bill was a game changer. I think the late scott martin has a place in the midst of the best of the best. He was a hard man to block he was a sr my soph year and i saw him give many an o lineman a fit

I also had the privelege of watching Scott play many a game on the field and in the back yard. (Very Tough Player) He would definitely be in my best of the best list.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
