Should be a good game,I do think Millington will give Ridgway's run defense a test like they have not seen since the first game.I'am looking forward to see how Millington's defense will stack up agianst Ridgway this year.I dont think the players will need to read anything on here to be ready to play this game.Looking forward to a injury free and great game.

i agree that ridgeway has not seen a running game the likes of millington all year, but i still do not think it will matter because Ridgeway always dominates wing-t teams as shown in their last few games against wing-t teams where those teams offenses have scored a grand total of 65 points in 10 games dating back to '02. I know many of the players that played in htese games are not around anymore, but the scheme still is and as long as the players stick to their assignments that dominant trend will continue this Friday.

A lot of talk is about the Millington rush offense against the Ridgeway defense, but a bigger factor will be if Millington's defense can stop Ridgeway's offense, which many teams have not been able to do the last 2 years. If Millington wants to have a shot at winning this game, then they must play an outstanding game on both sides of the ball.

I agree with you rhsplaya55.Millington will have to bring their A game to win.Was the paper correct saturday showing Bartlett with 13 yards rushing and 13 yards passing for a total of 26 yards against Ridgway?I know the defense played very well friday night,just didnt think it held them to that kinda numbers.

Paper was correct...they had LOTS of carries for losses which affected their total rushing.

To be completely honest, I don't think Millington is capable of stopping Ridgeway's running game, even though everybody and his momma KNOWS that Ridgeway's gonna run the ball. Sure, Ridgeway's OL is nowhere near as big and dominant as South Panola's; Against Millington's porous defense, however, they're sure gonna look like it.

 

Millington is gonna have to gamble, big time, in order to have a snowball's chance in Hades of beating Ridgeway: Stick 9 guys in the box, every play!

Millington will never do that...i still dont think putting nine in will work all that wonderful because i mean you cant put all 9 on the side were running to and i believe we could still manage 3-4 yards every play so it ownt help, but if they decide to go with 9 in there and a RB breaks through...its lights out!

Ridgeways QB made some good throws last week,I think if they stick 9 in the box they are going to get beat with the pass.

Well that's what Bolton did and it did give us some problems. Now how does Millington stack up against Bolton?? Barlett tried a 6 man front against us and that was like putting candy in front of a baby. The ol just gave Crawford a crease and it was off to the races. He could have gained mega yards IF he hadn't twisted the ankle.

 

As for the passing, I'm sure Millington had someone there and saw the boy hit his targets. He did a real good job of selling the hand-off and rolling out for more time. As long as the coaches keep him out of the pocket he will be fine. Now that the receivers know that he can throw, they won't be surprised when the ball arrives so I expect that problem to be history. (JOKE )

Well that's what Bolton did and it did give us some problems.

A BIGpart of the O-line did not play at Bolton,and he was missed,his replacement had never played at that pos.The o-line is not easy to play.Even if Millington stacks the box with 8 or 9 look for different results this week.

booster i wasn't at and never saw or talked anyhting ab the bolton which ones didn't play just wondering?
