Smyrna has Riverdale Lebanon & Oakland.. I think thats the last 3 region games..

Smyrna, Riverdale, Lebanon, and Oakland all play each other so basically it's the top half of the region against each other and the bottom half of the region against each other.

I'll admit, I shouldn't have hyped us up so much at the beginning of the season, but if i would have known we were going to turn out like this then I wouldn't have.

Riverdale

Smyrna

Lebanon

LaVergne

Ok will someone that knows the TSSAA rules very well answer this?

If LaVergne wins out the next 3 games they would be (4-3), but if Lebanon wins one but loses two they would be (4-3), would they have the tiebreaker because they beat us? Or would we have the tiebreaker because we have more non-region wins? Plus if they lose to Blackman and if we beat Blackman, who would have the 3rd spot?

The first tie-breaker is head-to-head. If you win four region games you are in. Only matter left to decide would be seeding. It is very possible we could end up with 2 or 3 teams with 3-4 region records and trying to figure out the tie-breakers.

Oakland's early wins against Blackman and WC could end up being very important. On the flip side, Lavergne has the tie-breaker over Oakland.

Still in the race for the region crown with three games left:

Riverdale

Smyrna

Oakland

Lebanon (has 4 games left)

Any of those teams win out they are region champs.

This is the race we were all anticipating during the summer.

Surprises so far (IMHO):

Lebanon -- better than expected

Oakland -- better than expected

Riverdale -- better than expected

Lavergne -- struggled more than expected

WC -- fell off the edge of the earth

Siegel -- fell completely out of the solar system

Blackman and Smyrna are tracking right about where expected.

I guess I've talked it up enough, for now.

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
    • It seems we lost a ton to graduation. We shall see how it shapes up for 2024.
